Roots

Dance solo

Roots is based on a reflection on the impact of mining in Brazil, in which the world's biggest technological, social and environmental disaster, responsible for destroying Bento Rodrigues (Minas Gerais, Brazil), is gaining visibility.

The show, of a documentary and autobiographical nature, is born out of the creator's need to express himself on the subject, while at the same time rediscovering it and transporting it to the present day, in a fusion between remembering the past and preventing the future, joining points that are close and that could result in the same disastrous consequences.

The rediscovery of the dancer's traditions and roots takes shape through dance and the fusion of scenic elements and leads the audience into a state of permanent imminence that denounces what may yet be to come, not only in Brazil, but in the world.
